3d Bot Workflow Breakdown and Attachments

As i was the only Artist on Code-A-Bot, time was precious and as we a team we had to pick our battles on where to focus on details and work out what was the best bang for the buck.
Code-A-Bots visual style was simple clean and vibrant, which allowed for more material based higher poly models and less textures. So I decided to cut out the whole baking highpoly to low texture based processes and pipelines.
I chose to model the main forms with more sides (as we would zoom very close to the bot) and focus on modelling secondary medium details while of course utilizing normal maps for the minute details.

To Cut down on time to create normal map stamps i purchased an awesome 3d KitBash set.

Picked out my favourite pieces that worked with the style and rendered them out for stamping.

Overall the style still had a gamey feel but also a procedural overtone to it and was a cool exercise!
